La storia di Ileana, fatta di forza e vittorie

Alex, un ex bambino prematuro, sorride tra le braccia di sua madre Ileana, mostrando il loro legame affettuoso e il loro percorso attraverso la prematurità.

Raising a preterm baby who grew into a child with special needs has profoundly shaped our lives. Our story began at 27 weeks of pregnancy, with a baby weighing just 980 grammes. We were suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar world, and since 2014, we have learned to cherish every small milestone we've achieved along the way.

We have faced challenges such as feeding difficulties, cerebral palsy, spasticity, and problems with balance. For over a decade now, we have relied on various therapies to support both motor and psychological development.

Integrating a child with such complex needs into mainstream education is far from easy, and society is still not fully prepared to accept and support these children. As parents, our goal is to help our child become as independent as possible.

The greatest progress we've made has come from the love and effort we've poured into this journey. It has been a path filled with hope, faith, and love.

Ileana, madre di Alex, nato a 27 settimane e 980 grammi.
